Linen

Linen is a natural fiber that’s loved for its beautiful luster, pleasant feel, and unique ability to absorb moisture. Linen garments are warm when it’s cold and cool when temperatures rise. It’s essential that your linen garment is loose enough to prevent seams from fraying.

Washing

The proper washing method can be checked from the care label attached to the product. If there is a line under the washing symbol, it guides you to select a gentle washing cycle and a low spin speed.

Correct washing temperature

Follow the recommended washing temperature, since washing at too low temperatures may cause unwanted color transfer. It’s advisable to wash linen garments inside out to minimize the impact on the fabric’s surface and colors.

Strong colors

Wash linen garments separately in plenty of water. Some dye may come off darker fabrics, especially in the first few washes. It is characteristic of linen garments, particularly darker ones, that the color softens with use and washing.

After washing

Linen may shrink in the first wash. It’s advisable to straighten linen garments after washing and dry them on a hanger. Flat drying is better for heavy garments, such as knitwear, to prevent stretching. Do not tumble dry linen.

Ironing

Linen garments come with a little wrinkle for a carefree look. The best way to get rid of excess creases and wrinkles is to iron your linen item when it’s slightly damp.
